Re:Zero releases new artwork to celebrate Emilia’s birthday

The official Twitter account of Re: zero unveiled new artwork to commemorate Emilia’s birthday as well as the second anniversary of Re: zero lost in memories mobile game on September 27, 2022.

The illustration was originally featured as the cover image of Living Monthly Comic magazine.

Emilia and Echidna holding Subaru and Beatrice’s plush toy respectively can be seen in the artwork.

Re:Zero − Starting life in another world, is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. The story centers on Subaru Natsuki, a hikikomori who suddenly finds himself transported to another world while returning home from the convenience store.

The series was originally serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website starting in 2012. Thirty light novels, along with five side story volumes and seven short story collections were released by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint.

The first three arcs of the series have been adapted into separate manga series.

An anime television series adaptation by White Fox aired from April to September 2016, beginning with a one-hour special. The first of two OVAs based on the series was released in October 2018 and the second OVA was released in November 2019.

A second season aired in a split-court format, with the first half airing from July to September 2020 and the second half airing from January to March 2021.
