Meghan Markle is said to be under “tremendous pressure” as Kate Middleton will feature solo on the cover of an American magazine to celebrate her upcoming birthday in January.
Royal expert Daniela Elser wrote that Meghan was unable to steal America’s heart. She added that the Duchess of Cambridge appearing on the cover of PEOPLE magazine would be disconcerting to the Duchess of Sussex. Elser added that Kate beat Meghan to achieve solo magazine cover status without even leaving and walking away from the UK.
Meanwhile, Meghan appeared to be struggling to muster fans, with a poll showing 31 per cent of Americans having no sympathy for the Sussexes proving she lacks support for her political campaign.
Prince Harry and Meghan are already under pressure with their multi-million deals on Netflix and Spotify. Additionally, the former “Suits” star’s attempts to break into American politics have failed. She has spent the past two months trying to support and lobby for paid parental leave.
This is the fourth time in a year that PEOPLE magazine has chosen Kate as its cover star. The first time the British king appeared on the cover of the magazine in solo was in the Spring 2021 issue titled “Kate the Great: How the Future Queen Is Defining Herself”, “William & Kate: 10 Joyous Years, A Royal Marriage” in April 2021. , “William & Kate Secrets to Surviving Royal Life” the fall 2021 issue. Time in September 2021.
Elser added: “Having spent the past two months trying to push for paid parental leave, there doesn’t seem to be anything even remotely resembling an outpouring of support behind the Duchess.”
Meanwhile, Meghan starred in a famous magazine cover with Harry and was mocked by the royal columnist. She also continued: “Their excruciatingly grumpy coverage of Time and their faux royal New York tour would seem to have failed to really establish the duo as the power players they seem awfully hungry to be (although the magazine’s release spawned a slice of less than flattering memes).”
It has also been reported that the Duke of Cambridge’s Earthshot Prize will be held in the United States next year, which could also mean that a royal tour will follow.
Next year, January 8, will mark two years since Harry and Meghan flew to Canada after announcing their retirement from royal duties with the British family.
