As if she feels what her fans want to know, Janet Jackson gave an update on her current situation with the release of new music, as she prepares for her triumphant return to the Essence Festival stage next month:
“It’s so funny because I see fans asking, ‘When are we going to get ‘Black Diamond?’ “Will you please come out?” Sometimes things happen that you didn’t expect and you need to figure things out or you’re in a space in your life where you need to take a step back and take a break. a minute. Even though it’s something I love, it’s still my job, my job. There will be music at some point. When exactly? I can’t say yet, but there will be. I love it too much not to. That’s all I know. There’s so much I want to do, but my number one job is to be a mom.”
Being one of the biggest superstars in the world, Janet Jackson has an air of mystery that those with newfound fame don’t possess, thanks in large part to social media. When asked what fans don’t know about her that would be surprising, she got very candid.
“Oh damn. Oh, that’s a good one. When it comes to my personal life, I think I confuse my kindness with weakness. When it comes to my professional life, I would say don’t love to hear the word ‘no.’ Especially being a woman, and someone says to you, ‘No, you can’t because…’ Janet said.
