Nollywood actress, Annie Macaulay Idibia is the new star girl of Glamor Magazine.
Annie, mum-of-two and wife of singer 2face Idibia, who graced the cover of Glamor South Africa magazine’s March issue, has yet to get over the excitement of being in the prestigious magazine.
Sharing the good news, Annie took the opportunity to recount her past life while growing up in a one-bedroom apartment.
She revealed that she once slept in a room with her three brothers, although one is late now.
Annie grew up helping her mother in her cooking business and was known as a cook’s daughter.
Keeping that in mind, she bragged about how a cook’s daughter made it to the top.
Describing the experience, Annie said being part of the magazine was “so huge” for her.
Using her life as an example, Annie reminded the world that dreams do come true.
The magazine sheds light on her journey so far, starring on reality show Hut, and motherhood.
“The world has the opportunity to see me for who I am: a strong African queen, a mother, an actress and an artist”.
“Yes! Mom I made it. We made it! It’s so huge to me (Oh God knows) @glamour_sa
“Now look at this cook’s daughter who lived in a one bedroom ‘boys quarter’ with her three brothers; who used to watch color TV in the next door neighbor’s room because their mother couldn’t afford a color TV at the time. #GraceFoundMe
“My name is Annie Macaulay Idibia. I can tell you that dreams come true.
Referring to her latest achievements, she said, “It’s Naija time. I can’t wait for the whole world to see Africa; see us; see me.”
It comes shortly after the actress revealed she was playing the lead role in South Africa’s unscripted reality show Young, Famous and African.
Annie performs alongside husband 2baba, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, babymama Zarri Hassan and many more.
