LeBron James has been one of the most well-known athletes for almost his entire life. He’s been dazzling people in basketball since he was in high school, and it’s clear that media publications have noted how good he was even before he was in the NBA.
One of the most prominent magazines to feature LeBron James was Sports Illustrated. LeBron James got his first Sports Illustrated cover at age 17 while still in high school.
LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, has often been compared to his father as a basketball player: he already receives scholarship offers. While it’s unfair to expect someone to be as good at basketball as LeBron James, there seems to be one area where Bronny has his dad beat. Recently, Slam Studios released an Instagram post showing that Bronny James officially got his first Sports Illustrated cover before LeBron James, when he was 16 years old.
While obviously the two are on the covers for different reasons, it’s still pretty awesome that Bronny James managed to land himself a Sports Illustrated cover. It appears that Bronny James is on the cover due to his affiliation with FaZe Clan, an esports organization, along with Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. Gaming has been a big part of the modern era, and it’s great to see athletes taking part in esports.
