Blend the arts and sciences as you learn the ins and outs of this botanical illustration workshop.
Participants will complete a botanical illustration through a guided, step-by-step process. Throughout this process, participants will learn to observe the plant and think critically about plant morphology. We will also learn basic plant anatomy as well as plant classification. Although no artistic experience is necessary, it helps to already understand basic color theory and how colored pencils blend together. Although this program is intended for adults, children 8 years and older are welcome to participate and learn how to draw plants!
All drawing and plant materials provided. Admission is $15. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Peace Valley Nature Center. Places for this botanical illustration workshop are limited, so register early!
