I knew what I wanted and I loved guitar and electric guitar…and I wanted to rock. I also really wanted to write my songs. It was a challenge to find people to co-write songs with and produce the album that included my vision,” Lavigne said. Euphoria.
But after more than two decades of career, Lavigne is reaping major benefits that not every musician or artist sees.
“I still know today literally the same fans who have been at the shows since day one,” she noted. “A lot of them were front row and still are front row. How lucky am I to have a fanbase? People really connected to my music back then, and still do today. I feel so grateful.
