Andy Lee reveals weird details had to be photoshopped from his magazine cover shoot: ‘I was thankful they did’

Andy Lee has revealed that his recent cover shoot for Stellar magazine had to be digitally edited because it had shingles.

The TV and radio host, 41, caught the viral infection, which causes a rash and painful, blistering swelling, on the day of the photoshoot.

The images had to be photoshopped before publication to remove all traces of his swollen face, he told Carrie & Tommy on Tuesday.

“I had shingles. It mainly happens to older people, which worries me,” he said.

“It blew up my face, so they had to photoshop my face for Stellar magazine, and hats off!”

“I was grateful to them for deflating my face on the right side.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Andy admitted his friends made fun of him for the outfits he wore for the photoshoot.

“It was like disguises for me,” he laughed. “I didn’t get much support from my friends with the outfit I was in.”

It comes after Andy told Stellar that he and his girlfriend Rebecca Harding are happy with where their relationship is and are tired of answering questions about marriage and kids.

The comedian said that while perceived “milestones” like marriage are important for many people, “they’re not for everyone.”

‘Some people find these milestones [like marriage] very important in their life. But they are not for everyone,” he insisted.

Model Rebecca, 30, said they have already taken steps to demonstrate their commitment to each other and are taking things as they come.

“It’s really unfair and there are also other pressures to have children. And unfortunately for women, we have a bit of a ticking clock…” she said.

“We like where we are, really. We bought a house. We have a dog and we also have a few other projects.
